About the Contributor: Jessica Brill Ortiz

Jessica Brill OrtizAs DCA's National Advocacy Director, Jessica provides strategic leadership, implementation and support for DCA's policy, advocacy and organizing programs at the state and federal level. She works closely with constituents, policymakers and other advocates to advance DCA's policy agenda and ensure that direct care workers have opportunities to participate in policymaking decisions that affect them. Her work includes leading DCA's campaign in support of federal minimum wage and overtime protections for home care workers and implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Before joining DCA, Jessica managed and led key programs at the National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care (the Consumer Voice). She has Masters degrees in Public Administration and Political Science and an Advanced Certificate in Health Services Management and Policy from Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
