About the Contributor: David Ward

DCA Director of Policy and Planning David Ward helps develop and implement the DCA’s policy and advocacy agenda and support its coalition-building and fundraising initiatives. Before joining the DCA, he did research on the uninsured and on long term care systems, served as research coordinator for the AIDS Community Research Initiative of America, and worked on health-related initiatives for the JEHT Foundation’s Palliative Care and Criminal Justice programs. He has a master’s degree in the History of Public Health Policy and Ethics from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
