Donnie yanks his bathing suit around his knees
then forgets what he’s doing
cause he sees a guy from the Water Fitness class
taking off his suit as well.
Like a good support person, being a role model and all,
I avert my eyes and hope Donnie’s gonna do the same.
But Donnie stares right at It and points and laughs
and points down at himself and laughs some more.
I’m needing to jump to his side and grab his arm
cause he’s about to topple over with the laughing
and the pointing and his CP and his bathing suit
around his knees and I can’t steer him away
or apologize soon enough.
So the guy booms out, real friendly,
Yeah, we look alike, don’t we?
Donnie slaps his side and laughs even harder.
Now the guy’s our friend
and we see him naked every Tuesday morning.
He’s coming to Donnie’s birthday party
and bringing orange balloons.
Of course that’s not till November
and this is only June.
